Proofreading is the final check your writing receives before submission or publication. This is where any remaining errors of spelling, punctuation or non-conformity to a style sheet will be picked up. Copy-editing goes a step further and will ensure the clarity of your writing. This service will also remove repeat words and ensure that your writing flows well. I can work on screen using Track Changes in Word, on a PDF using commenting tools or on paper using BSI symbols. 

Other non-fiction work

​I can proofread or copy-edit CVs, emails, letters, magazine articles, journal articles or other non-fiction documents. I have had articles published in magazines and know how important it is to keep the author's voice, but still remove errors and improve clarity and flow. I can work in Word using Track Changes, on a PDF using commenting tools or on paper using BSI symbols.

Pricing

My rates are as follows:

 £24.30 per hour for proofreading and 
 £28.30 per hour for copy-editing.

All projects differ so I prefer to get a sample of the work and edit 200–500 words free of charge. Then I can quote a price, based on how long  the work will take to complete.
